Biography – Diederik Karsten

Diederik Karsten is Executive Vice President, European Broadband Operations for Liberty Global, Inc. and is based in the Company’s headquarters in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Mr. Karsten oversees the day-to-day operations of Liberty Global’s broadband operations in 10 European countries, spanning 18.3 million customers and 30.2 million RGUs.

In his prior role, Diederik Karsten served as Managing Director, UPC Netherlands since 2004. Before joining a predecessor of Liberty Global Europe, he served as CEO of KPN Mobile (Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and others) and served as a non-executive Board Member of Easyjet PLC in the UK. Before that time, he held various management positions at PepsiCo and Procter & Gamble in the Netherlands, the US, Germany and the UK.

Mr. Karsten serves on the board of directors of Telenet Group Holding NV. He holds an MBA from Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
