Biography - Miranda Curtis

Miranda Curtis is President of Liberty Global Japan, a division of Liberty Global, Inc. Ms. Curtis assumed this title upon the combination of Liberty Media International, Inc. (“LMI”) and UnitedGlobalCom, Inc. in June 2005. In this capacity, she is responsible for overseeing all of Liberty Global's investments in Japan. Ms. Curtis is an executive officer of Liberty Global and sits on the company’s Executive Management Committee.

Ms. Curtis has managed activities in Japan since LMI’s predecessor first invested there in 1993, and has been focused full-time on the Japanese market since 2002. Ms. Curtis is Liberty Global’s Senior Representative on the Board of Jupiter Telecommunications Co. Ltd. (J:COM is listed on JASDAQ: 4817) and also serves on the boards of certain J:COM programming subsidiaries. Previously, Ms. Curtis was responsible for all activities of LMI’s predecessor in Asia and Continental Europe, including the Multithematiques partnership with Canal Plus. She also served on the Board of Telewest PLC from 1998-2002. Ms. Curtis has been in the cable and media industry for over 20 years, during which she has primarily focused on international operations and during which time she held various senior management positions with Liberty Media Corporation and its subsidiaries prior to joining LMI.
 
Ms. Curtis was educated at the Lycee Francais de Londres and took an Honors Degree in Spanish at the University of Durham. She also studied at the London Business School. Ms. Curtis serves as a non-Executive Director on the Board of National Express PLC and is a Trustee and Governor of the London based Institute for Government.
