Elizabeth Markowski is Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Liberty Global. Ms. Markowski has served in similar positions with various subsidiaries of Liberty Global, including its predecessor Liberty Media International, Inc. since March 2004. Ms. Markowski served as a Senior Vice President of Liberty Media Corporation from November 2000 through December 2004. Ms. Markowski is an executive officer of Liberty Global and sits on the company’s Executive Management Committee.
Prior to joining Liberty Media Corporation, Ms. Markowski was a senior partner in the law firm of BakerBotts L.L.P. which she joined as a partner in its New York office in 1992. While in private practice, Ms. Markowski specialized in mergers and acquisitions, securities law matters and general corporate counseling.
Ms. Markowski received her law degree from New York University Law School (J.D.1978, cum laude) and was law clerk to the Honorable Edward Weinfeld, U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York, from 1978 to 1979. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Business Law Section, and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
