Liberty Global's UPC Broadband (UPC) division is a leading provider of cable television, broadband internet, and voice services in Europe, serving approximately 9.1 million customers throughout 9 countries. UPC is the largest cable television operator across the majority of the markets in its footprint.
In Western Europe, UPC operates cable networks in the Netherlands, Austria, Ireland, and in Switzerland through the Cablecom brand. In Central and Eastern Europe, UPC's operations span five markets: Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Romania, and Slovakia.
Telenet
Liberty Global owns a controlling 50.5% interest in Telenet, a leading provider of cable television, high-speed internet access, and fixed & mobile voice services in Belgium. Telenet is a consolidated subsidiary of Liberty Global and a separate public company, with shares listed on the Euronext Brussels Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol TNET.
Chellomedia
Chellomedia is Liberty Global’s European-based content division, and a leading international producer and distributor of TV channels and a provider of digital services to other international channel operators. Chellomedia's strong focus on thematic TV channels, rights aggregation, channel distribution, channel sales, marketing as well as uplink and playout services, is a natural complement to Liberty Global’s robust footprint of cable operations across the continent.
