A 20-year veteran of the cable and media
industry, Mr. Fries assumed his current role
at Liberty Global in June 2005. Under his
leadership, the company has grown into
the second largest cable TV operator in
the world and the largest outside
the U.S. with operations in 15 countries.
Prior to that, Mr. Fries served as
president and chief executive officer
of UnitedGlobalCom (UGC) from 2004 after holding several
senior management positions since shortly after the Company’s
formation in 1990. UGC is a predecessor to LGI and
one of the first companies to expand into international
cable TV and programming.

 Dr. John C. Malone is the Chairman of the
Board of Liberty Global, a position he has
held since June 2005. Dr. Malone is also
Chairman of Liberty Media Corporation, a
position he has held since 1990. From 1996
to March, 1999 when TeleCommunications,
Inc., (TCI) merged with AT&T Corp., he was
also Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
of TCI. Previous to that, from 1973 to 1996,
Dr. Malone served as President and CEO of TCI. He
currently serves on the Board of Directors for the CATO Institute,
Expedia, Inc., Discovery Holding Company and InterActive
Corporation. Dr. Malone is Chairman Emeritus of the Board for
Cable Television Laboratories, Inc.
